Academic Honesty:

It is your responsibility to be aware of all UF policies in regard to academic honesty. More information is available at  http://www.dso.ufl.edu/judicial/academic.php

Quizzes:

During the term quizzes will be taken during the class period. These quizzes will cover the subject material of the lectures preceding the quiz, excluding any material covered by a previous quiz. The quiz may also cover the reading assignment associated with that lecture. There is no provision for making up a missed quiz.

Attendance- Missing Quizzes :

Attendance of all labs is mandatory. Absence will result in zeros for the attendance and field work grade for that day. Your lab partners are counting on you.

Homework :

Homework problems will be assigned on the website (see homework page). You should hand these back at the start of class on the assigned date.  Please include your lab day on all work handed in as we maintain grades by section number and graded homework will be handed back during your lab periods.

Lab Equipment :

The equipment you are using is University property. If you damage or lose anything, you must pay for it! Please be careful.

Calculator Policy :

The following is presented to give guidance as to what is acceptable calculator usage on quizzes and the final exam:

·     No computers (e.g laptop, palm top) may be used .

·     Programmable calculators are acceptable providing you still show your work on your quiz or exam.

·     If you program a solution to a particular problem, be sure to display intermediate results.

·     It is not acceptable to use a program that you did not create.

·     Use of Survey ROM chips or other commercial survey software is not allowed.

·     Use of calculator's memory to store verbal or graphical information (e.g word definitions) is not allowed.

·     The essence of this policy is that the student should be demonstrating his or her knowledge, not that of another.
