TEXT: Elementary Surveying, Wolf and Ghilani, 11th Edition, 2006

 

COURSE REVIEW:

The first part of the course covers fundamental measurements on a plane, including horizontal angles, distances, and elevation differences. We also cover the techniques used to compute bearings, azimuths, distances, coordinates, and area.  At the end of the course you should have sufficient knowledge to be able to take various kinds of measurements and produce a 2-D plan of land features.
