-    No S/U option for graded courses

-    Up to 9 hours of graduate level work may be transferred from an institution approved by the Graduate School or 15 credits from a post-baccalaureate program at U.F., during the first semester of residence. Only graded graduate-level courses with grades of B or better may be transferred.

THESIS

The Graduate Advisor reviews the first draft of the thesis. A printed or electronic copy of a revised, near-final draft should then be distributed to each member of the Supervisory Committee. The Committee should be allowed sufficient time to review this draft and to advise the student of needed revisions. A final draft should be made available to the members of the Supervisory Committee 10 days prior to the scheduled date of the Final Exam.

FINAL EXAMINATION:

The Final Exam is usually given during the last semester (it must be given within 6 months of the anticipated date of graduation). After a successful Final Exam, revisions suggested by the Supervisory Committee are made and signatures obtained on the signature page of the revised thesis. This near-final version is submitted to the Graduate School for an editorial review (margins, format, etc.). Consult the "Guide for Preparing Theses and Dissertations" for further details. Also, certification of satisfactory completion of the Final Oral Exam must be sent to the Graduate School.

Please consult with the Student Services Office for more specific guidelines. Most forms are available on our FORMS page.
